Knowledge Role of Officers Role of Government on Family Latrine Ownership in Patilereng Village Working Area of Bontosikuyu Health Center Kab. Kep. Selayar

Abstract

Family latrines are effective waste disposal facilities to break the chain of disease transmission. The sewage is collected in a private or communal septic tank which must be located in the house itself. Efforts are being made to prevent the development of disease and to keep the environment clean and healthy by building latrines in every place of residence. Research Objectives To find out about knowledge, the role of officers, the role of the government on the ownership of family latrines in the Village of Patilereng, the working area of the Bontosikuyu Health Center, Selayar Islands Regency. The research method used is quantitative with a descriptive approach. The total population in the study was 268 families in the village of Patilereng. Determination of the sample using purposive sampling by determining the criteria for households that do not have a family latrine. the number of samples taken as many as 73 respondents. The results of the study were a total of 73 respondents who did not have a latrine, 76.7% of them had good knowledge and 23.3% had poor knowledge. of the total 73 respondents who did not have a latrine, 69.9% of them answered that the role of the officer was not good, and 30.1% answered that the role of the officer was good.% of them answered that the government's role was not good, and 27.4% answered that the government's role was good. The Conclusion,72.6, while the role of officers and the role of the government is said to be still lacking but has provided participation in terms of increasing ownership of family latrines.
