Fatimahwinda@utama.ac.id
Cases of malnutrition are still the cause of one third of all causes of child mortality and the number of people with malnutrition reaches 104 million children. Cases of malnutrition in the working area of the Sapaya Health Center in 2022 were 100 children under five. This study aims to determine the risk of home sanitation conditions with cases of malnutrition in children under five in the working area of Puksemas Sapaya, Bungaya District, Gowa Regency in 2022. This research uses analytical research method with case control design. This research was conducted from June to July 2022, with a sample of 30 cases and 30 controls. The case and control sampling technique used simple random sampling with the respondent's criteria being mothers of children under five. Analysis of the data used is univariate and bivariate using the Odds Ratio test. The results showed that there was a significant risk between ownership of sewerage in cases of malnutrition in children under five with p = 0.020, while the variables with no significant risk were family latrine ownership p-value (0.760), handwashing habits with soap p-value (0.789), clean water facilities p-value (1,000), and waste management p-value (0.778). Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the ownership of sewerage has a significant risk of house sanitation with cases of malnutrition in children under five in the working area of the Sapaya Health Center. As a suggestion, namely increasing the frequency of counseling by relevant agencies, especially regarding the benefits of house sanitation that meet the requirements, as well as the impact that will result from home sanitation facilities if they do not meet the requirements.
2024-12-06T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2024 Jurnal Data Kesehatan Indonesiahttp://ojs.lpdindonesia.id/index.php/jdki/article/view/101Relationship between Basic Sanitation and Diarrhea in the Kapasa Community Health Center2025-03-30T00:58:49+00:00Muhammad Rifaim.rifai@stiktamalataemks.ac.idBesse illang Saribesse@utama.ac.idSiti Khairunnisasiti.khairunnisa@utama.ac.idYulia Delviramulyadi@stiktamalateamks.ac.id
Basic sanitation is a basic effort to improve public health by providing a healthy environment and meeting health requirements including clean water facilities, availability of latrines, waste water disposal facilities (SPAL), and waste management facilities. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between basic sanitation and the incidence of diarrhea in the working area of the Kapasa Community Health Center. The type of research used is quantitative research using a Cross Sectional Study approach with a population of 60 people and sampling using the purposive sampling technique where the researcher relies on his own judgment when selecting the population to participate in the study, so that the sample obtained is 52 people. The variables studied are Clean Water Utilization, SPAL Management, and Waste Management. The results of this study based on statistical tests using the chi-square test found that there was no relationship between the use of clean water and the incidence of diarrhea (P value = 1.000 > = 0.05), there was a relationship between SPAL management and the incidence of diarrhea where (P value = 0.021 < 0.05), and there is a relationship between waste management and diarrhea incidence (P value=0.023 < = 0.05). The conclusion and suggestion from this research is that basic sanitation is still lacking in the working area of the Kapasa Community Health Center so that it is necessary to educate health workers to the community in order to maintain the environment so that the environment is clean and prevent diseases caused by the environment, especially diarrhea
2024-12-06T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2024 Jurnal Data Kesehatan Indonesiahttp://ojs.lpdindonesia.id/index.php/jdki/article/view/98Factors Associated with Vegetable and Fruit Consumption in Students of SDN Bontoramba 1 Tamalanrea District Makassar City2025-03-25T11:02:51+00:00Hasmahhasmah@stiktamalateamks.ac.idRisna Rindi Patobahasmah@utama.ac.id
Currently the habit of consuming vegetables and fruit is a source of vitamins and minerals as well as
fiber.
